**I tested one of this controller for the situation of power outage (Some brand's controller will not remember the setting. after power outage) I set up the controller first, and then unplug the controller for one hour. After I plug the controller back to the outlet, the temperature settings are unchanged. In my opinion, this controller passes my test for power outage. I will be comfortable use this unit in my own life support systems. It is just my two cents. I suggest you test yours new controller few times to ensure it is work**
