When TDS level of RO filter water above 16 PPM, thatindicate something needs to pay attentions or it is time to change the ROMembrane, we recommend you to using TDS meters of any kind to monitor the ROpart of the RO/DI system.
**A standard carbon block works well to remove chlorine, however, more andmore municipalities are adding Chloramine to the water treatment processes to stabilizethe chlorine from releasing harmful by-products into the water.
If your local water supply using Chloramine to treat the water, the regularcarbon block will not work well( Most areas treat water with chlorine), therefore, RO Membrane will not last toolong. If this is the case, you need to add NH2CL (Chloramine) Blaster UpgradeKit
to taking care the Chloramine.
