Why Aquascape?
Natural looking decorations inan aquarium are more important to our aquarium inhabitants than most people know. Many fish and invertebrates require adequate shelter to feel secure. In fact, normal behaviors are seldom observed without the addition of aquascaping materials. Take time to learn what type of environment your animals came from and do your best to include substrate, rock, and plants as needed to duplicate that habitat. Not only will a natual looking aquarium be pleasing to your eyes but you will be rewarded with normal behaviors, often only seen in the wild.

South Seas Lace has much more structure than any other commonly available aquascaping rock and is much more porous than others as well (you will get more rock for your money). South Seas Lace is a calcium carbonate base rock that is very similar to actual reef rock, and at one point actually was, although it is obtained terrestrially from ancient coral reefs underground. South Seas Lace will make the perfect alternative to live rock or can provide very attractive "base" for live rock.
