Some corals reach its beauty and expression only by special fluorescent colors. Like many mussel species these animals will be found in the sea at water depths where specific UV-components are available. Therefore we have developed a fluorescent lamp that will bring these colors into the home aquarium.

The POWERCHROME pure actinic is a high-performance T5 tube, emitting a very stron, pure actinic spectrum, which generates a light white/violet effect in your aquarium. POWERCHROME PUREACTINIC increase the fluorescence, enhance a maximum fluorescence from your colourful corals and lendfs itself to an ideal addition to your metal halide lighting (HQI).

2. POWERCHROME T-5 actinic+ 22000?K

Since most aquarium inhabitants live in seawater depths where the light is very blue, it is needed to simulate this natural living conditions in the aquarium. The POWERCHROME ACTINIC+ has therefore been developed to enhance the blue proportion in marine aquariums. ACTINIC+ emits almost exclusively blue light of wavelengths from 400 - 510 nm, with a maximum at 420 nm. These wavelengths enhance the growth of many coral species in the aquarium, thus ensuring optimum lighting conditions.

ACTINIC+ reinforces the natural fluorescence of corals and brings them excellent to bear - especially in the twilight phase when being used alone. The optimal use of ACTINIC+ is the combined with either the POWERCHROME pureactinic or aqua blue+ or combined with our MEGACHROME HQI bulbs. POWERCHROME ACTINIC+ should never been missed for the lighting of coral reefs in any aquarium.

3. POWERCHROME T-5 aquablue plus 15000? K

Light dependent corals in the sea are inhabited by so-called zooxanthellae, single-celled algae, which provide the host through photosynthesis with nutrients. Depending on the natural location of the coral (and depending on their depth), there is a more or less blue coloured light, to which the zooxanthellae have adapted. Apart from the increased amount of blue in the light spectrum there is as well a sufficient light intensity required.

POWERCHROME aquablue + is the ultimate blue/white light spectrum for brilliant colours from your corals and fish. It is ideal in combination with the ACTINIC+ or PUREACTINIC to produce exceptionally beautiful color effects and the ideal light for all marine creatures that live in salt-water and reef aquariums. A special 60:40 combination of 6000K and 22000K (approx) phosphor blend. It is specifically designed for reef aquariums mimicking sea water to a depth of one to twenty meters. 4. POWERCHROME T-5 aquaflora (white / red)

GIESEMANN for years has made ??many attempts to identify a light spectrum, which promotes the growth of aquatic plants as much as possible, and inhibits the growth of algae. Here we detected, that both emergent and submerged (growth outside/inside of the water) plants prefer a spectrum with a low to moderate amount of blue, medium amount of yellow/green, and a significantly increased amount of red. This has been now confirmed by various researchers.

As a result of this research, we present the POWERCHROME aquaflora, whose spectrum is exactly following this knowledge. This new generation of fluorescent lamps enables plant growth even of more demanding plant species, such as Tiger Lotus, and also reinforce the red and blue colours of your fish in the freshwater aquarium. We recommend the Midday 6000 to be used in conjunction with the Aqua Flora for Freshwater and planted aquariums.
